We’re enjoying our holiday in Dubai and I was hoping to get loads more time to spend on my photography, especially to get a few strangers portraits but it’s just too hot to leave my sun lounger!! This is a quickly iPad edited shot of the fountains at Dubai Mall. Hopefully I’ll get some more next week when I’ve got use to the temperature!
Beth finished school on Friday and asked if I could take some pictures of her before she went to her prom. It ended up a bit of a rush job due to my work commitments so the finished product isn’t quite what I would have liked to have achieved but she still looked lovely in her dress.
Quick photo shoot with Daisy today. Only took ten minutes but I like the results! Finally found a use for the piece of pink A5 card I bought about a year ago!
The Dads and lads tour continued on Sunday at the UK X Fest at Santa Pod raceway in Northampton. Some of the stuff these kids do is amazing and this colourful guy was one of the pros mid frontflip. As usual a few more of my shots can be found here.
I’ve had a great Dads and lads weekend this bank holiday. First stop was Adrenaline Alley in Corby which the boys thought was easily the best skate park they’d visited so far. I have to agree, very well laid out and plenty to do. I got loads of action shots but decided to use this one as I think the kids look cool in it! Next stop X-Fest at Santa Pod raceway.
Had great fun shooting Beth in the studio on Sunday for the first time. I’ve been nervously excited all week as this was the first time I was completely on my own with all the gear and I have to say it went brilliantly! Beth is such a pleasure to work with. She’s new to posing but is better than most the more experienced models that I’ve shot before once she loses her shyness. I think she could do well if she chooses to pursue it further. Chuffed to bits with the reaction I’ve had from this. The models loved all the images and are using them in their portfolios. I’d love to get more creative now and do a full location shoot with MUA etc.

I’m not sure if I had more fun at last nights Vampire shoot or processing them afterwards? This is a quick teaser shot as I’ve got so many I’m pleased with it’s going to take me ages to sort them out!
This is Sid. I’m so glad I managed to capture him like this, smiling. He has had a great life and has many stories to tell. Long may they continue.
I feel like I’ve finally found my mojo again after a shoot with the lovely Lil Jess on Saturday. I’m quite excited now with a few photography based things booked in my diary for the next couple of weeks, starting with my first visit to a new camera club tonight. I just wish they were all a little closer to home! I’m going to clock some mileage up!
